Heron Bags is a new departure for us here at Chuckle Shoes.
When the bag maker Henry Tomkins made the move from London to Devon some 20 years ago, Barrie, our dear friend and mentor, helped him in many ways, sharing the Chuckle Shoes workshop, equipment and shop space.
They continued to support each other over the years and when Barrie was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2023 Henry felt moved to help. He offered to train the Chuckles team in bag making and gift his brilliant time tested patterns.
Having added a bit of the unique Chuckles creative spin the result is a well crafted, colourful and attractive range of bags for work, fashion or as a gift for that special someone.
Because we have faith that our bags are strong, thoughtfully constructed and durable, we believe they can last a lifetime, so we offer the same guarantee that served Henry so well - for 5 years if anything does go wrong from the construction of the bag we will fix it for free - you only pay any postage. If your bag breaks after this time we will still happily repair it for you at a small cost - we love to give you the best chance of a bag for life you can get!
